The 2020 St. John Bosco Graduate, Jon Jon has taken Westwood by storm after finishing his Freshman Campaign at UCLA. Affectionately known as “Papa Jon” because he always delivers, Jon Jon just finished the 2020-2021 season as the starting Middle Linebacker and the starting CF for the UCLA Bruins.


  • Made 34 appearances, including 17 starts, during his true freshman season… Slashed .239/.370/.537 over 67 at-bats with 19 runs scored, 16 hits, five doubles, five home runs, 14 RBIs, and nine walks… All 17 starts came in center field… Team was 11-6 when he was in the starting lineup… His first career hit was a monstrous home run to right field as part of a 13-1 win at USC on Mar. 28… Had more extra-base hits (10) than singles (six) in 2021… Made his NCAA debut, as a pinch hitter, on Mar. 2 against Cal State Fullerton… Had a pinch-double, later scored against Utah on Apr. 17… Homered and drove in a pair in his first career start, on May 7 at Washington State… Hit a three-run home run as part of a rubber match win over UC Santa Barbara on May 16… Scored a season-high three runs on two occasions despite going 0-2 in both games (vs. Nevada on May 18, vs. California on May 23)… Started all four games of the Lubbock Regional, going 6-16 (.375) with a home run and four runs scored… Had by far the highest isolated power stat on the team (.298; JT Schwartz was next at .232)… Also had by far the lowest at-bats per home run ratio (13.4; Mikey Perez was next at 19.3)… Was batting .286 as late as May 8… Had a season-best four-game hit streak from May 11-16. 


  • Saw action in all seven games… accumulated 13 tackles on defensive and special teams units… registered four tackles, including one for loss, in debut at Colorado… made first-career start in season finale versus Stanford, totaling four tackles.
